Well we've had a busy weekend. The cutting up of the tree is almost to an end, before the stump gets ground up. Yeah! Football season is upon us. We travelled to Murray NE yesterday, cute little town, for a scrimmage with the Murray junior team. We won, although technically no score was taken. Five touchdowns to four. Luke informed us they LET Murray score two extra touchdowns, cause we were killin' em. I'm not sure if that's true, but their coach did say they couldn't get anyone to scrimmage with us cause they were scared of getting their butts handed to 'em. We think this will be Luke's last year at football, we're going to put him in basketball at the Y this winter. He's very good at basketball, and we want him to enjoy the sport he plays. I'm sure Luke would rather stay home and skateboard or ride his bike, but we've informed him team sports will always be in his future. Better luck with his next parents. HEEEE! Max does well with the team sports, he likes the comraderie. He's such a boys boy though. Rough and tough.
Sam had a checkup at the doctor today, he's been having some allergy med tryouts, his output of air is less than desirable. Today it was better than usual. 200 is normal, 175-199 is below average, 150-174 is troublesome. He averages around 175, today however it was up to 190. So he's now on three meds for his allergies. Ragweed and goldenrod are just around the corner, so cross your fingers he'll make it through. Last year he was always a bump on a log. He would just be exhausted, this year seems much improved. Along with his allergies, Sam fell out of a boat in our yard on Saturday and jammed his pinkie finger on his right hand. One hour after it was twice its normal size. We had it X-rayed today, he tore the ligaments and looked like he chipped the bone. So he has to have a splint for two weeks, when they will rescan it and if not fixed Sam may be in for surgery. Yikes. Everyone say a prayer for him. Flag football is out for Sam.
Wyatt went in also for his one year checkup. He weighs 20.4lbs, 28 1/2", Head circ. 18 3/4". 10th percentile for height and weight, Head is in the 85th percentile. Still an orange on a toothpick. But we love him. He has also graduated from his infant carrier. He is front facing and loves it. Sleeping I'm sure is much less comfortable. That's all my news.
Chronicles of my family. Sort of like a family journal. All 8 of us. Jarrod and Kari (mom and dad)-married 11 years. Luke-12, Max-11 Sam-9, Olivia-6, Wyatt-4, Cicilia-1. It's Crazy.
