The Elk Hunter returns

My hunting man returns! He had a blast. But who wouldn't? Talk about one week of manliness. No showers. Sleeping in a tent on a mountain in 5 degree weather. Refreshing! Poor Jarrod, the first night back at home he was sweating bullets in bed, he wasn't used to the warmth and comfort. He got a good sized elk cow at nine a.m. opening day(Saturday). On the Thursday after they got there they climbed to the summit of one of the mountains. Jarrod and his dad are pictured above sitting atop that summit. Jarrod said there was one "safe" side to the mountain and the other three sides were straight drops down. Jarrod who's afraid of heights. What a guy! They had one night of snow, only a couple of inches, but it was plenty cold.

We're sure glad to have him home. Back to normal. I didn't mind being alone taking care of the kids, that's my role mostly anyway, but it was lonely at night without Jarrod to share our days with each other. He always makes me laugh everyday. But he's home, yeah!
